Why Sell Outdoor Gear?  
At Livingscape, we support what we call "engaged living." That is engaged with place (the Pacific NW), people and food. To that end, we offer outdoor clothing and equipment that provide safety and comfort to folks exploring our local environs. We also strive to deliver value (high quality for price), affordability and, where possible, local or regional sourcing/manufacturing - Liberty Bottles, Ibex, etc. We've also noticed that most people wear the same clothes for a day hike as they do to work in the yard.

Another reason we well outdoor clothing and equipment is to connected people with the natural bounty around us. Most folks who shop at outdoor or recreation stores enjoy being "OUT in nature," but they separate that experience from their day to day lives "BACK in the city or suburbs." What do people like about being outside and "in nature"? The backbone of any place you go is the plant community. We sell NATIVE PLANTS and encourage folks to be aware of the plants they like when out recreating - the plants that remind them of their favorite spots or outings. Our native plants evolved to grow here, and without irrigation, fertilizer or pest control. Instead of the disconnect, consider having your favorite local nature right at your house and planting a native plant community. Livingscape is here to help you do that.


Sustainable, Affordable, Exceptional
Some outdoor stores carry recreational products with very high prices. That puts decent clothing and equipment out of reach for some, particularly families with kids. Through our research, we've found products that offer great performance yet at more affordably prices.

And while we do offer some higher priced products, these are items with exceptional value, excellent quality/functionality for the price.

We also strive to find products that are made more sustainably and/or locally, while remaining on guard against "green-washing." Sometimes there is a trade-off between sustainability and affordability. Sometimes there isn't.

Most of all, we strive to be exceptional in both the knowledge of the products we carry and the customer service we offer.
